Earthly Ways

Cool winds,
Spring showers,
A fresh spring morn
The earth awakes once more.

Air shimmers,
Insects drone,
The perfect summers day
The earth is full of life.

Leaves crunch,
Air chills,
A classic autumn eve
The world starts to slumber.

Sun bright,
Cold bite,
A frosty winters day
The earth is fast asleep.

The Feeling

Teeth,
Nails,
Leather,
Steel,
Pain,
Anguish,
Sobs,
Screams,
Hands,
Soothing,
Calming,
Tears,
Submission,
Acceptance,
Loving Calm.

Misty Beauty

The mist is creeping through the trees
and swirling round my feet
in the silence of the dawning day I stand and watch it come.

I welcome the feeling of the icy mist moving round my feet,
the first fine spray upon my face
as I greet the day once more.

I feel the joy within my soul as I see the new day dawn
to see the earth come out of the dark into the light of day.

Just a few short months ago I would not have stopped
and taken the time to appreciate this beauty
but now I know that each short day
must be enjoyed
lest we miss our chance to marvel
